The BEP is honouring American veterans in WWI to celebrate 100 years of the war’s end with three interesting products. They belong to a subscription program for 2018 Intaglio Print Collection. The first one is called Entry which will be released on 23rd January on the theme “100th anniversary of the end of World War I”.

The Treasury Department played an important role in funding the war effort by releasing Liberty Loans and Victory Bonds. The allegorical and historical figures of these original bonds and currency are depicted on three cards.

The Entry print features the reverse design of one of the popular U.S. large-size notes, the Series 1918 $2 Federal Reserve Bank note or “Battleship Note.” The battleship is the USS New York, commissioned in 1914. The second card shows the famous Grover Cleveland image that was originally featured on a $10,000 bond. It is called Homefront and will be available for purchase on 8th March. The third card is called Victory and will be available for purchase on 14th August. It will feature the reverse of the Series 1918 $1 Federal Reserve Bank note with a flying eagle, holding the American flag along with a portrait of Woodrow Wilson, originally depicted on the Series 1934 $100,000 gold certificate that was never released.
